Billy Jack Riney, age 76, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 21, 2014. No doubt, heaven was delighted as this good and faithful servant entered Glory. Known as "BJ" to those who knew and loved him, Billy Jack was born on September 7, 1938, to Gifford Brooks Riney and Devota Riney. He lived his entire life in Denton.
Billy Jack was a graduate of Denton High School and attended North Texas State University. He worked as both Pressman and Salesman for Moore Business Forms for 37 years. Upon retirement, Billy realized a lifelong dream by establishing and operating MCBJ Printing Corp.
Billy Jack is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years, Carlene Riney, and their three daughters: Tonya Schwolert and husband, Phil, of Fort Collins, CO, and Melody Watson and Jackie Riney, both of Denton. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jo Stiborek and Linda Smith, and two brothers, Bobby Riney and Gerald Wayne Riney. Billy was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tommy Riney.
"Pappy" generously loved his 8 grandchildren: Sarah and Seth Schwolert, Katie, Sam, and Eli Watson, and Nicholas, Billy Jack and Maxwell Hyman. They have been blessed by Pappy and have been a blessing to him. Billy Jack lived a life of service for God's glory, for his family, friends and acquaintances. Our beloved BJ is now rejoicing with our Lord Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 23, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St., Denton, with Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
