Billy Loyd Hester, 86 of Denton passed away on Wednesday Juy 23, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born July 27, 1927 in Denton to Henry and Lucy Mae (Gore) Hester. He was a graduate of Denton High school, and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a retired Postal Clerk at the TWU Post Office. He was married to Marjorie Lynn Selzer on September 4, 1949 in Denton, and she passed away on April 17, 1993.
Mr. Hester is survived by his daughter and son in law Martha Lynn and Mike Chastain of Emory, son and daughter in law Tim and Tammy Hester of Oak Point, sister Maydell Jackson of Houston, and brother Donny Hester of Corinth, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton and a private family graveside service will be held at the Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, TX In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice, 4350 Sigma Rd.
