Billy Cathey, beloved husband and father, passed away Monday morning, in Lewisville, January 5, 2009.

Born in Dallas, Texas on June 8, 1955 to Bill and Pat Cathey, Billy was an avid golfer, enjoyed Sci-Fi movies, and rooting for "his team" the San Francisco 49er's.

He was employed by Texas Health Reserve for the last 14 years.

Billy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vickie Cathey of Lewisville, his daughter Arrie, son-in-law Jordan, and grandson Griffin of Plano.  He is also survived by his mother Pat Cathey of Carrollton and sisters, Susan Smith and Patty Coates.  He is preceded in death by his father Billy Ray Cathey.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the Lewisville Church of Christ.  The family requests memorials be made to the Lewisville Church of Christ Preacher Training Camp, 901 College Pkwy., Lewisville, TX 75077 and Christian Works for Children – www.christian-works.org.
