Billy Jack Carter, 71, of Corinth, TX passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1936 in Gorman, TX to Acton and Edith Augusta (Daniels) Carter. He was married to Mary Jane Maddux on September 26, 1958 in Ranger, Texas He served in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Marine Corps. He is a member of the Assembly of God Church, and was a retired route Salesman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in The Church of Corinth, 3201 Tower Ridge, Corinth, TX 76210, 940-321-0488, with Rev. Jeff Williams and Rev. Robert Carter, officiating. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carter Is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Carter, of Corinth, TX daughters, Rebecca Tucker, of Farmers Branch, TX LaRita Reece, of Denton, TX and Benita Hansen, of West Valley City, UT and a son Robert Carter, of Belle Fourche, SD, a sister, Ruby Hatton, of Ranger, TX. Seven Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alton Carter.
