died March 6, 2007 surrounded by his family in the house where he was born and lived for over 81 years. He farmed and ranched his entire life in the Plainview Community. He was a Methodist.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie Marie, one son, Joe E. "Skip" Barnett and his wife Janice of Ponder, one granddaughter, Analie Barnett and her boyfriend Mike Hurtik of Durham North Carolina, one grandson Dan and his wife Hillary of Grapevine.
Graveside service will be 3: 00 pm Saturday March 10, 2007 at Plainview Cemetery Hwy 1173 Plainview Community. Visitation will be 6:30 to 7:30 March 9, 2007 at Mulkey-Mason Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home 705 N. Locust St. Denton.
