IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billie Mozelle
Norman
November 9, 1929 – May 11, 2020
Billie Mozelle (Newland) Norman, 90, of Conroe, passed away peacefully Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home in Conroe.
Mrs. Norman was born on November 9, 1929 in Sanger to Carl E. and Ruby (George) Newland. She was married to Steve S. Norman, Jr. on April 23, 1947 in Denton. Billie was preceded in death by her husband Steve S. Norman, Jr. on December 29, 2013 and son Steven C. Norman on April 19, 2008.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Pamela "Pam" Lucas of Conroe; sons, Victor "Dick" Norman and his wife Wilda of Conroe, Dennis W. Norman and his wife Julie of Willis; sister, Robin Melinda Starnes of Duncan, OK; brother, Ronnie Newland of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Trisha Martin-Frye, Heather Talan, Denise Norman-Machala, Joshua Norman, Ashley Cutler, Stephanie Norman, Spencer Norman, Jennifer Reimers, Jessica Weaver-Norman, Richard Weaver-Norman and Jillian Weaver-Norman; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joey, Mattie, Monica, Holden, Alexis, Maddox, Lydia, Ossian, Wayne, Sawyer and Timothy.
Billie always had a willing heart of sacrifice for her family from her years of working at Sears and later for Borden's. The care for her family was of highest priority. Billie always believed the best in people, she loved and treasured times of family gatherings at holidays and on vacations. She was guided by her faith in Christ and the phrase "you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar." Billie loved her garden, the birds and the joy of cooking. She always had a welcoming smile to greet you and had to have a hug and kiss from you at the end of each visit. She was fervent in her opinions, you might even say hard-headed, and in her understanding and interpretations of the Bible. Her hobbies included oil painting and being a member of International Graphoanalysis Society and past-president of Texas Graphoanalysis chapter. If she was here today she would tell you to pray, read the Bible and go to church.
Proverbs 31:30 describes Billie, "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
