Obituary

Billie Jean Houchin Crabb

Born 3-30-34

Went to Heaven 8-24-22

Billie Jean grew up in Sanger Tx.  She was quick to tell you she was Homecoming Queen of Sanger High School in 1953 but was humbled about being voted most beautiful her Sr year in 1954.

She met Marvin Lee Crabb in Denton, Tx where they both worked and fell in love.  Once they discovered they shared the same birthday, they decided to be wed on the same date.  She talked about handsome and kind he was up until the day she could no longer speak.

Billie stayed home and raised her daughters Debi and Cathy.  She was known for her delicious chocolate Chip cookies and would serve them to the entire neighborhood friends for an after school snack.

She was a loving devoted wife, mother, and Meme.

Billie was loving, caring, responsible, trustworthy, kind, giving, honest, passionate, witty, faithful, and one of the most respected women one would ever meet.

She was a servant of the Lord, walked with Jesus and was a member of Highland Baptist Church when she and Marvin lived in Denton.

She moved to Mansfield in 2015 to be close to her daughters and lived at The Legends of Mansfield.  She was surrounded by many friendly and loving residents and staff.

She was the middle sibling of Thomas Houchin and Bess Houchin Buckley, whose both precede her in death.

Her husband Marvin went to Heaven in 2015.  Her living family is, daughters Debra Jean Gonzales and husband David Gonzales, Cathy Lynn Jackson and husband Lillard Jackson.  Her granddaughters Lacee Lynn Jones and husband Jesse Jones, Caylee Marie Jackson and fiancee Trent Partain.  Her grandson Kevin Lee Loyd and wife Ashley Loyd and David M. Gonzales.  She has six fabulous great grandsons, Kash Luke Loyd, Kane Lee Loyd, KRew Lynn Loyd, Brendon Luke Gonzales, Kasen Lane Jones, Kye Rein Jones.
