Bill Nixon, age 64, of Lewisville, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008, in Denton.

He was born March 12, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Elwood and Betty Smith Nixon. Bill was a USA swimming referee for the past 20 years.

His mother Betty Nixon of Greenwood, Arkansas; his daughters, Laura Campise, and husband, Tony,   Deborah Nixon and Katie Whitman and husband, Matt; six grandchildren; aunt Doris Bridges and her son, Harry, survive him.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Reception immediately following the service in the Family Life Center.
