Bill R. Edmondson

A private family gathering will celebrate the life of Bill R. Edmondson, who passed from this life on October 12, 2024 in Plano, Texas after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dianna of Corinth, Texas. He is also survived by his 2 children, Leslie Broyles and her husband Perry of Muldrow, Oklahoma, as well as Mike Edmondson and his wife Kellie of Corinth, Texas.  Bill had three grandchildren: Lyndsey Broyles of Amherst, Mass., Quinton Broyles of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Riley Edmondson of Corinth, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Clarence F. and Nellie Mae Edmondson, as well as his only sister, Beverly Greene.

Bill was born on February 7, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He spent his early childhood in Carthage, Missouri and later moved to Vinita, Oklahoma where he completed his schooling. He made lasting friendships in Vinita that have followed him throughout his lifetime. From Vinita, Bill attended Connors State College where he played Basketball. He then attended Oklahoma State University as well as Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. It was there that he met and married Dianna D. King, formerly of Phillips, Texas. Soon thereafter Bill joined the Army Reserves and welcomed his first child. His son arrived four years later.

Bill would spend the next 31 years as a sales representative and district manager for Hershey Foods, Corp. He took early retirement so that he could enjoy his hobbies of golfing, fishing and building a lake house on Lake Texoma for his family to enjoy.

A private celebration will be held at a future date.
