Bettye M. Morgan, age 77 of Denton, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at her residence. She was born October 3, 1929 in Weleetka, Oklahoma, to George Bartie and Ruby Belle (Foster) Marler. She married Raymond Harris Morgan December 23, 1950 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was the owner of Bettye Morgan Interiors and Draperies in Ponca City, Oklahoma, before moving to Denton. Bettye was a member of the First Baptist Church Denton.

She is survived by her husband Raymond of Denton, daughter Tomyla M. Kohlenberg of Flower Mound, two sons Raymond H. Morgan, Jr. of Austin and Brent H. Morgan of Tomball, seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral Service will be at 2 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2007 in the Cindy Nichols Chapel of First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St,. Denton. The Rev. Cliff Feeler will officiate the service. Burial at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery will precede the service at 10:30 A.M.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494; to First Baptist Church Youth, 218 S. 6th Street, Ponca City, OK 74601; or to First Baptist Church Youth, 1100 Malone, Denton, TX 76201.
