Betty Joyce Stanford, 74, of Denton, died Friday November 28, 2008 at Denton Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Stanford was born November 10, 1934 in Denton to Walter J. and Rosie Mae (Hilliard) Sprabeary. She was married to John T. Stanford on October 3, 1953 in Lewisville, TX.  She was a supervisor at Russell Newman's Mfg. from 1960-1981  She retired from Josten's Inc. as a Diamond setter after 14 years (1984-1998).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday December 1, 2008 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Rev. Buddy Owens will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Denton. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday November 30 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, John T. Stanford of Denton; daughter and son in law, Malinda and Greg Potynski of Denton; sisters, Alice Laird of Denton, Wanda "Linda" Crisp of Denton; brother, Wallace Sprabeary of Denton.
