IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Lou
Lentz
December 28, 1938 – December 22, 2021
Betty Lou Lentz, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Wednesday evening, December 22, 2021. She was 82 years old. Betty was born on December 28, 1938 in Waco, Texas to Perry and Flora (Adcock) Dawson.
She is survived by her three children, daughter, Linda Lou Lentz Partida (Ralph) of Keller, Texas, son, John Edward Lentz (Janice) of Corinth, Texas, daughter, Holly Lynn Lentz Kleeman (Andrew) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, April Yvonne Jennison, Catessa Bell, Charles Edward Lentz, Elizabeth Lauren Lentz, Hannah Brooke Kleeman and Jakob Noah Kleeman; and great-grandson Dominick Cardenas. Preceded in death by her husband, Tom Edward Lentz on May 12, 2021.
A devoted wife, mother and neighbor, Betty had a particular soft spot for all living creatures in need. If an animal were hungry or hurt, they found their way to her side. And in their healing process, they became part of her family, often permanently. Neighborhood children also knew Betty. Her house was the spot on the block where they would stop and chat a while. Betty had a way of connecting with those often overlooked or not seen at all.
A memorial service will be held in the spring when family can get together.
In lieu of flowers, Betty requested that donations be made to either St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or your local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
