Betty Eileen Katz of Highland Village, Texas; formally of Bloomington, Illinois passed away Monday morning, October 16, 2006 in Lewisville, Texas. Betty was born November 12, 1919 in Bloomington, IL to Clarence and Florence Warmbir. She married Jack Katz October 8, 1946 in Bloomington. Jack preceded Betty in death on July 3, 1984. Their daughter, Susan preceded her in death and died on the same day as Betty, October 16, 1950. Betty is survived by her sons, David Katz and wife, Tana of Normal, IL and Dan Katz and wife, Brenda of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Rebecca Garza and husband, Lou of Highland Village, TX; sister, Marilyn Black-Blecke of Bella Vista, AR; grandchildren, Michael Katz, Mark Katz, Katie Katz, Jacie Katz, Nick Garza and Caleb Katz. Step grandchildren, Kara Knuth, Erica Schenk, Brandon Schenk, and three great grandchildren. Betty will be remembered as a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Betty was a secretary for a law firm in Bloomington and Illinois State University. Due to the loving care received at her care facilities, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in Betty Katz's name to the following assisted living facilities where Betty had resided: Providencia, 2208 Peach Tree Lane, Lewisville, TX 75067 and Rambling Oaks, 110 Barnett Dr., Lewisville, TX 75077.

Visitation will be at the funeral home in Lewisville Wednesday October 18th from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. and a grave site funeral will be held at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, Illinois Friday October 20th at 11:00 A.M. East Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of the burial in Bloomington.
