Betty Jane Evans, 83, of Argyle, TX passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Denton Regional Medical Center.  She was born March 22, 1933 in Estelline, TX to E. E. and Gracie May (McKinney)  Richerson.  She was married to the late Matt R. Evans on May 7, 1953 in Esteline, TX and he died July 14, 2011.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Argyle and a homemaker.
Mrs. Evans is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Raye Martinez of Grand Prairie, and Vicky Elaine McNatt of Argyle, sister Maurite Hautruid of Alclalr, MI  brothers Olen Richerson of Amarillo, and Bruce Roberson  Charlotte, N C  and five grandchildren Melody Graham, Leslie Brown, Matthew Wills, Cody Lane Ray, and Dakota Quinn Ray, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 in  the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton with Michael Pirtle, officiating.
