Bette Marie Blair passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on August 19, 2024, following a life spreading love and encouragement to all who knew her.

Bette was born in her parent's home on December 15, 1938, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Dorsey and Mildred Byers. She was raised in a home filled with love along with her younger sister, Pam, with whom she maintained a special bond throughout her life.  Bette married Bill Blair and moved to Texas in 1957.  She quickly endeared herself to the entire Blair family with her sweet southern charm. Soon Bette was busy raising her son and daughter.  The family eventually settled in the Sparkman neighborhood of North Dallas where Bette established many lifelong friends. Later in life she moved to Addison. She met Bob LaDue in church and the two enjoyed the companionship of each other until his passing. Bette enjoyed opening her home and graciously hosting family and friends.  Her role of Mimi to her grandchildren was especially cherished.  She dearly loved her family and friends and endlessly prayed for them all. Most importantly, Bette was a faithful disciple of her Savior Jesus Christ.

Bette is survived by her son, Brek Blair, daughter, Cherri Shipp, (Scott), grandchildren, Ryan Blair, (Bonnie), Boone Blair, Tucker Blair, Scout Blair, (Chelsea), Sarah Polan, (Mich), Haley Yeager and seven great-grandchildren.  She also leaves sister, Pam Rainey (Bill) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

There will be a celebration of Bette's life at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Village Church, 1700 Highland Village Road, Highland Village, Texas.

A memory box will be available to leave a favorite memory or story of Bette for the family to cherish.
