Bennie Joe Braley, 74, of Justin, died Friday March 18, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Braley was born on November 21, 1936 in Simms, TX to Roy and Ruby (Kemp) Braley. He was married to Janis Fuller on March 15, 1971 in Durant, Oklhoma. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired machinist and raised rabbits for 4-H projects in North Texas for over 20 years. He attended Denton County Cowboy Church, and lived in Justin for twenty seven years.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday March 25, 2011 at Mulkey-Mason funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday March 26, 2011 at Denton County Cowboy Church, 400 Robinson Rd., Ponder, TX. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton. Rev. Brandon Henderson will officiate the service.
Ben is survived by his wife, Janis (Fuller) Braley of Justin; daughter, Christy Clements of Argyle; sons, Sergeant John Braley and his wife Julie of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Randy Clements and his wife Donna of Lewisville; sisters, Dorothy McElwee of New Boston, Venetta Grist of Arkansas, Doris Crane of Allen; brothers, R.B. Braley of Texarkana, Horace Braley of Bonham, Bruce Braley of Nevada, Texas, Roger Braley of Farmersville, Bobby Braley of Wylie, John Braley of Bonham, Willis Braley of Plano, Robert Braley of Texarkana; grandchildren, Anthony Sirmans, Wacey Silva, Alex Clements, Aaron Clements, Logan Clements, Kayla Mae Braley; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Silva. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Braley.
