Benjamin F. Hathaway ("Benny"), 94 of Largo, Florida and Cross Roads, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Denton, Texas. He was born January 28, 1921, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts to the late Alton and Lillian Ellis Hathaway of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Benjamin served 27 years in the Air Force and retired as a Major in 1968. He fought over 133 combat missions in WWII, Korean Wars and Vietnam Conflict. Benjamin earned the Silver Star for bravery and valor, Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, 10 Air Medals among many others. He is survived by his two daughters, Christine Saad-Keefe of Largo, Florida and Janet Conrad of Cross Roads, Texas, and their husbands William Keefe and Ronald Conrad, Sister Elsie Andre of Leeds, Maine, 10 Grandchildren, Rick Saad of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sean Poliseno of Stevenson Ranch, California, Michael Saad of San Francisco, California, David Saad of League City, Texas, Scott Poliseno of Denton, Texas, Theresa Saad of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Caroline Lyons of Foxboro, Massachusetts, and William Saad of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Matthew Hashem of Dallas, Texas and Nicholas Hathaway of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts; 13 Great Grandchildren, Alexander, Owen, Taylor, Tristen, Teagan, Layne, Elias, Andrew, Isabella, Easton, Grady, Scarlett and Olivia. A Private Memorial Service will be held for immediate family and close friends on Sunday, November 22nd. Benjamin has the honor of being interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The time and date of which is to be scheduled for spring or early summer.
