Ben Edward
Casey
November 21, 1963 – March 6, 2026
Ben Edward Casey was born November 21, 1963 in Dallas Texas. He peacefully passed away March 6, 2026 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Ben was a passionate individual with a huge heart, known by those who loved him as someone who lived life fully and sincerely. Everything Ben did, he did with passion—whether it was the things he loved, the people he cared about, or the beliefs he stood by. That same passion showed in every part of his life and made him unforgettable to those who knew him.
Growing up and throughout his high school years, Ben had a strong passion for bull riding. It reflected the fearless spirit and determination that would define much of his life. Those who knew him remember how deeply he threw himself into the things he loved, never doing anything halfway.
Early in his adult life, Ben spent time giving back to his community by working at Dowd's Helping Hand, in Texarkana, where he helped recovering addicts find their way in life. His willingness to support others during difficult times reflected the compassion and heart that defined him.
Ben devoted much of his professional life to the field of computer programming. He studied programming and built a career doing what he enjoyed, applying his curiosity and determination to the evolving world of technology.
Later in life, Ben reconnected with the Lord with the same passion he brought to everything he did. His faith became an important part of his life and journey.
He is survived by his son, Ben Casey; his mother, Judy Holland; his father, Kenneth Casey; his stepmother, Linda Casey; his stepfather, Pat Holland: brothers, Kenny Casey (Pat); and Michael Casey (DeDe); sister, Michele Roeren(Thor); his lifelong friend, Gina Dendy, his stepbrothers and stepsisters, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ben’s family and loved ones will remember him for his strong spirit, his big heart, and the passion with which he approached life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
