Ben Richard Burns, 73, of Bloomington, Indiana, previously of Denton, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007.
Born January 24,1934, in Howe, Texas, he was the son of Delbert Robert Burns and Lucy Girldia (Williams) Burns. He was married to Frances Ann (Sparks) Burns of Bangs, Texas on July 10, 1955, she died April 6, 1998.
A graduate of Denton High School and University of Texas, Arlington, he served in the National Guard, and held numerous corporate accounting and management positions throughout his career.
He was a Member of the Texas Free Masons.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra Ann (Burns) Goodman and husband Darrel of Bloomington, Indiana; a brother, Arthur Robert Burns of Bangs, Texas, and his grandchildren, Heather Leigh Goodman, Eric Bryan Goodman and Amie Nicole (Goodman) Crites and husband Rodney Crites, all of Bloomington, Indiana.
Ben Burns was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 43 years, Frances Ann (Sparks) Burns.
Services will be held
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home
Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be held prior to the service.
Grave side services to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
