Barbara Jean Williams Villarreal passed away October 8, 2016 in Denton, TX at the age of 77. She was born on July 15, 1939 to Charles Withrow Williams & Oleta Ercel (White) Williams in Nashville, Arkansas. Barbara was a Nashville High School Scrapper, graduating from there in 1957. She attended TWU for her freshman year of college, and finished her degree in education at the University of Arkansas. Ever concerned with helping the less fortunate, she was a dedicated special education teacher for many years. As the beloved wife of Manuel Jose (Joe) Villarreal, Jr for 56 years, she lived in all parts of this country and they traveled extensively to many others. She is survived by her husband, Joe; her 3 sons, Manuel Jose (Joey) Villarreal III & his wife Arenda (Corbin) Villarreal, Mark Charles Villarreal, and Samuel Jordan Villarreal & his wife Kelly (Fowler) Villarreal; her sisters, Marilyn Williams of Little Rock, AR and Charlotte (Williams) Jeffers of Arkadelphia, AR; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara excelled at anything artistic, but she especially loved to cook, knit, and paint. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed until we see her again. Services will be Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 6500 Crawford Rd., Argyle, TX 76226. Rosary will be said at 10:00am, with services following at 10:30am.
