Barbara Lynn Draper, 68, of Denton, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home in Denton.

Mrs. Draper was born on September 23, 1952 in Midland, TX to Clifton James and Lelia Jewelle (Sizemore) Hardaway. She was married to Charles Lee Draper on June 26, 1971; he died on May 26, 2014.

Barbara had a tender heart of gold, and would do anything to help you if she could.  She was a caregiver by nature, and took care of several family members at different times.  She loved all animals, and especially her chihuahuas. She loved to read, especially her Bible, and could write wonderful poems.  She could always make you laugh!

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Julie Draper of Denton; brother, Clifton "Buddy" Hardaway of Denton; grandchildren, Sky Lynn Draper, Christopher Draper; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Lee Draper and sister, Elizabeth Farris.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Bolivar Cemetery, Bolivar.

Barbara's brother, Buddy, had this to say about his sister: "My sister took care of so many and went through so much but was always there for everyone else. She was my angel that cared so much."  Barbara's daughter, Julie, said: "Her Sunshine" will miss her always and forever.
