Barbara Ann Forester Carter
1941-2013

DENTON - Graveside services and burial for Barbara Ann Forester Carter will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Old Alton Cemetery in Denton, Texas. Her nephew, Rev. Mitch Forester will be officiating. Barbara, 72, passed away suddenly at her Gordonville, Texas home on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Services are under the direction of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton, Texas.

Barbara was born July 6, 1941 in Denton, Texas to the late Albert Forester and Delores (Schoolcraft) Forester. In her youth, Barbara attended Argyle Public Schools and went on to retire from her long-time position as Security Guard. She was a member of Sherwood Shores Baptist Church in Gordonville, Texas.

Barbara loved her family dearly and will be remembered as a strong and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was always willing to listen and could be relied on for her strength and support in times of need. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her husband, Columbus Ray Carter, preceded her in death. Left to cherish Barbara's memory are her mother, Delores Forester of Gordonville, Texas; her sister, Mary Lynn McCain of Gordonville, Texas; her brother, Dennis Forester of Italy, Texas; her daughter, Michelle Wilson Sharp of Highland Village, Texas; her son, Steven Wilson of Pleasant Grove, Texas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
