B. D. "Pete" Owens, 96 of Denton, formerly of Longview went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Atrium Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1915 in Winters, TX to Robert Cecil and Susie Beatrice (Caldwell) Owens. He was married to Opal Spradlin, who preceded him in death on June 6, 1990. He was a Unretired salesman and a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Owens is survived by a son, Kenny Owens of Houston; two daughters, Donna Adam of Tulsa, OK and Debbie Nusbaum of Krum; a sister, Lorraine Hamilton of Amarillo; brother R. C. Owens, Jr of Tajunga, CA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday January 6, 2012 at the funeral home. A Funeral service will be held at 11 A. M. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton with Rev. Randy Nusbaum, officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Rosewood Park in Longview, TX.
