Aza was the loving and devoted wife of James Howard Griffin for over 71 years.  She had three children of whom she was very proud and protective. She was a wonderful mother to her three daughters. She was full of life and energy and she loved taking care of her home and family. Aza studied business administration at Odessa College and together with Howard, owned a small successful business. Aza also worked full time for the State of Texas where she excelled as a state investigator.  She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, crafting, ballroom dancing. and entertaining friends and family.  She was deeply loved.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the service begins. Interment will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
