Obituary

Asa Wayman Yount, 84, of Denton, died Monday November 10, 2008 at his home.

Mr. Yount was born on June 17, 1924 in Sanger to Asa Jackson and Mary Lottie (Trent) Yount. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was married to Charlene Madewell on October 17, 1947 in Ft. Worth. He worked as a cabinet maker for TM Cabinets for many years. He was a member of the Baptist Church; VFW in Denton and the DAV.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. Buddy Owens and Steve Yount will officiate the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday November 11.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Yount of Denton; daughter, Sharlet Yvonne Holamon of Denton; son, Gary Wayman Yount of Willis, TX; four grandchildren, Hallie Holamon, Asa Tanner Holamon, Kathleen Yount, Garrett Yount.
