Arzilla Lillian Weiner passed from this world on September 26, 2016 in Denton, TX and is at peace with the Lord. Arzilla was born in Nokomis, IL on June 18, 1923 to John and Nellie Fritts. Arzilla is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie, her beloved sister, Iola and her husband, David Weiner. She is survived by her nephew, John William Weston and her niece, Louise Weston-Ferrill and husband Warren Ferrill all of Denton, TX. She is also survived by her cousin Helen Tate and children Greg, Carla and their children, a cousin Jackie Fritts and his wife and children. Arzilla had wonderful friends, Julie, Peggy, Doris, Lora and many others who loved her and who loved spending time with her. She had a loving and special relationship with David's children and grandchildren who also survive her.
Arzilla attended business school and worked as a secretary for Hines VA Hospital in Chicago for most of her career and retired from there. She met David Weiner after her retirement and they married and moved to Denton, TX to be close to her sister, Iola and family. Arzilla was a member of Southmont Baptist Church and was a supportive participant for many years. She enjoyed life, especially taking drives out in the country and seeing the animals. She loved going out to eat with friends and family.
A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 AM at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, IL. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday September 29, 2016 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IL. If you would like to send flowers, they can be sent to Osborn Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, IL. Donations to the charity of your choice. A memorial in Denton will be held at a later date.
