Arturo C. Garces (Tury) of Anthony, NM, passed away on Wednesday  February 21, 2024 in Argyle, TX.  Tury was born to Isaac Garces and Sara Carlos Garces on January 13,1929 in Anthony, NM.

Tury was married to Maria Moreno on April 16, 1955.  They were happily married for 61 years until her death on August 27, 2018.  Tury is survived by his children Ida Garces and her husband Antonio from Sanger, TX, Armando Garces and his wife Tonya from Argyle, TX, Rene Garces and his wife Ceci from Denton, TX, Sandra Medrano and her husband Ramon from Argyle, TX, Ramona Garces from Arizona, Nelly Garces from NM, Arturo Garces from Arizona and Antonio Garces from Las Cruces NM,10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister–in-law Juanita Garces of Anthony, NM, and several nieces and nephews.  Tury is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Maria Garces, his parents, Isaac Garces and Sara Garces, his sister Socorro Montelongo and her husband Florencio,  his brother Angel Garces, his sister Guadalupe Quesada and her husband Ramon, his brother Antonio Garces, his brother Juan Garces and his wife Dolores and his precious granddaughter Vanessa N. Garces.

Tury was a devout Catholic and lived in his town of birth, Anthony, NM for 90 years until the passing of his wife Maria.  Tury was a wonderful husband and father who devoted his life to his family. He was an honest, hard working man who took good care of his whole family and always helped anyone who needed him.

His family will be holding a private celebration of his life.
