Obituary

Arthur "Art" Lincoln Newman, 68, of Gainesville, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at his home. He was born June 22, 1939 in Biron, Wisconsin to David Henry and Pearl Margaret (Ruelle) Newman. He was married to Bonnie Mae Whitaker on April 13, 1963 in Amarillo, TX After serving in the U. S. Air Force, he had a fulfilling flying career both with Diamond Shamrock and with the Trump Organization. Later, he was owner and operator of the R V Ranch in Valley View, TX He was a member of Masonic Lodge #731 in Amarillo

The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for open Visitation from 6-7 pm, on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, with a video presentation, Pastor David McLerran, and a Masonic Rite from 7 to 8 pm. A graveside funeral service with Military Honors will be held at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 2 , 2007

Mr. Newman is survived by his wife, Bonnie Newman, of Gainesville, TX, son Bryan Newman, of Plano, TX, daughters, Debra Duncan, of Valley View, TX, Cynthia Mattox, of Plano, TX, and Janet McCabe, of Shorewood, IL; three sisters, Vera Glaza, Joyce Buss, and Mavis Newman; two brothers, James Newman, and David Newman, all of Wisconsin Rapids, WI Thirteen Grandchildren, Macy Newman, Dallas, Devvon, & Dylan Newman, Drew Duncan, Jessica, Cassidy, Jacob, Tommy, & Rachel Mattox, Joseph, Justin, & Jeffrey McCabe; one great grandchild, Dallas Jacksen Newman.
