Armenta was born in Celina, TX to Opal Goen-Brown and Vernon Brown.  She married Frank Singdahlsen on August 17, 1958, in Dallas, TX, afterward they moved to Denton, TX.  Where they raised three lovely daughters, Loretta, Evelyn, and Signe.

After growing up in Celina, TX, Armenta then moved to Dallas, TX, where she graduated from North Dallas High School.  She was a junior Altar Guild member for St. Matthew's Cathedral-Dallas, TX, Altar Guild member at St. Barnabas-Denton, TX then Altar Guild Director for over 20 years.  Armenta is also a member of Daughters of the King-St. Barnabas-Denton Chapter. She was a member of the VFW-Ladies Auxiliary in Denton and Lake Dallas.

Armenta worked a lot of different jobs throughout her career as a secretary and bookkeeper.  She retired from the Denton Public School Food Service in August of 1992, after being employed there for 20 years.

Armenta was also known by so many names, wife, sister, and friend. But her favorites were Mom, Grandmother, and GiGi. She loved showing off her grandchildren and great-granddaughters any time she could. She had a bookcase that was covered in different pictures of her daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters. She loved them dearly and will be missed by each one.

Armenta is survived by Loretta Gruenes and her husband Wally of Coppell, Evelyn Bradford of Pilot Point, and Signe Singdahlsen of Lake Dallas.  Also, four grandchildren Erik Gruenes and wife Katie, Kristina Lindsey and husband Bradley, Bradley Bradford and wife Audrey, and Cynthia Bradford.  She also had two Great-Granddaughters-Kana and Zaria Bradford.  She was preceded in death by her parents Opal and Vernon, husband-Frank, brother-Tommy Brown, and son-in-law Barry Bradford.

A memorial service will be March 12, 2022, at 1 pm, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 1200 N. Elm St., Denton, TX
