Obituary

Archie Leonard Wolfe, 88, of Denton, Texas passed away on April 29, 2016. He was born on November 21, 1927 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Frank Sr. and Flossie Wolfe. Raised in Seminole, Texas, he served with the US Army of Occupation in Japan at the close of World War II. After completing pharmacy school at the University of Texas, he became a fixture in the Denton community. He began his pharmacy work at Brooks Drug Store and eventually co-owned Wolfe-Neu Drugs and Ace Drug Mart. He also worked at Shrader's and Yarborough's pharmacies before retiring from the University of North Texas' clinic pharmacy. He was involved in the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree master Mason.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lorene Wright, Frank Wolfe Jr., and Wendell Wolfe, his first wife, Doris Wylie Wolfe, and daughter, Barbara Whitlock. He is survived by his wife Carolyn; son John Wolfe and wife Linda of Sugar Land, Texas; son David Wolfe of New York City; son Bill Wolfe and wife Nanette of Manassas, Virginia; daughter Marla Woods of Sanger, Texas; son-in-law Tom Whitlock of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Kristin Wolfe of Dallas, Texas, Elene Whitlock of Providence, Texas and Eric Woods of Sanger, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 3rd, at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 4th, at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.
