Annie Marie Graham, lovingly known as "Grannie Annie", 88, of Denton Texas passed away peacefully at her home with family and friends surrounding her.

Annie was born on August 20, 1936, in Brunswick, Tennessee, one of six siblings born to Sam and Laura Hollinger. She was known as "Sis" by her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her younger brother Willie Hollinger of Cordova, TN.

Annie had a great fondness of children and she often worked or volunteered for childcare centers. She also had a passion for mentoring young adults throughout her life.

Annie married her beloved husband, Grover Graham on November 9, 1976. In the beginning of their marriage, they lived overseas in Libya, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. While in Saudi Arabia, there were not enough males role models to fill the position of Boy Scout troop leader, so she was appointed the title of "Honorary Male" so she could become the Troop leader. Not only did she lead the scout troop, but also coached her sons Baseball team until they until they moved back to Texas. They lived in Richmond, Texas until 2010 when they moved to Denton to be closer to family.

In her retirement, her passions were gardening, watching Nascar, traveling, spending time with her family. She was also an avid reader.

Annie Marie Graham is survived by her loving husband Grover Graham of 48 years, daughter Mary Ann Harrell and predeceased son-in-law Charlie Harrell, two sons Ken Briggs and wife Marisol and Marcus Utley and wife Shay. Annie was blessed to have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with countless nieces and nephews that were so dear to her heart.

Annie lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 24, 2024 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX.
