Annie (Lispcomb) Day
(1933 - 2021)

Annie Day (88 years old) passed away in her home on February 12, 2021. Annie was one of seven siblings born to Robert Lipscomb and Minnie (Brooks) Lipscomb. She was a little sister to four half-brothers.

She is survived by her daughters Retha Day, Linda Pilson and her husband Phil Pilson, and Deborah Goss and her husband Randy Goss, along with ten grandchildren, Laura Locke, Phillip Pilson Jr., Denise Wagner, Steven Pilson, Michael Miller, Christy Durbin, Nicholas Pilson, Amanda Rahlf, Daniel Goss and Jessica Goss.  She was blessed to see fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her loving brother Robert Lipscomb, sister Nellie Roundtree, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Mercer Lamar Day and her parents.

Annie grew up in Etowah County of Alabama, where her father was a farmer. She often said, "when you grow up on a farm you have everything you need." She told stories of her childhood with such happiness. In her latter years, she enjoyed traveling to visit her family, which meant the world to her. She was a member of Southmont Baptist Church of Denton, TX.

A Graveside Service at Roselawn Memorial Park will be on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home.
