Rev. Annette "Candy" Norris (ne Patrick) went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born on August 19, 1935 in Stilwell, OK. She is reunited with her parents, Father Ray Patrick, Mother Beulah Croft (ne McNatt) & Stepfather Charles R. Croft; siblings, Maudina Tate & Charles Patrick; and husband John E. Norris.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Candace & Jason Selph; granddaughters, Beverly Hays, Elysia Dugan, & Michelle Carmichael; and her great grandchildren, Hailey Mullens (16), Daniel Carmichael (14), Abigail Hays (10), Alexis Carmichael (6), and Jeremy Hays (5). As well as her foster daughters Cindy Brown and Shree Scott, and Shree's children Amber Rodriguez, Joshua Crane, and Ivy Crane.

Annette enlisted in the Navy in February of 1959 and served as a Hospital Corpsman during the Vietnam War, where she met her husband Johnny. She left the Navy in June of 1965 following the birth of their daughter, Candace. Annette later attended Southwestern Assemblies of God where she received her bachelor's degree in Christian Education. She became a teacher and dedicated her life to teaching troubled youths.

The family will hold a private graveside service Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018, and invites everyone to dress in bright colors and join them in a celebration of her life at 5:00 PM in the Chapel at Bent Tree, followed by a small reception.
