Anna Maxine Coy-Smith, 74, of Sanger, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  She was born September 5, 1934 in St. Joseph, MO to Clyde F. and Grace Pauline (Huckaby) Chambers.  She was married to Leon Oscar Coy, on July 19, 1957, and he died Oct. 9, 1985, then she married Herman L. Smith on Feb. 16, 1996 in Denton.  She was a Homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, of Pilot Point.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P. M.. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Buddy Garland, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.  The family will be at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, October 3, 2008 for visitation.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Herman L. Smith, of Sanger,  Daughters, Lanette Hendrix, of Sanger, Deanna Carter, of Grant City, MO  Cindy Coley, of Hickory Creek, and Debra Smith, of Denton,  Sons, Vernon Coy, of Grant City, MO and Donald Lee Smith, of Aubrey,  Sister, Loretta Lafave, of St. Joseph, Mo.  And Brothers, Clyde (Bud) Chambers, Jr. of Sugar Creek, OH and Larry Chambers, Sr. of St. Joseph, MO. Seventeen Grandchildren, and Fourteen Great Grandchild4ren, and Great Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Valarie Coy-Walker.
