Amir Anival Rivera Marquez, 29, of Denton, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 peacefully in his home.
Amir was born on June 25, 1989 in El Salvador to Manuel Rivera and Maria Marquez. He married Shawnna Desiree Romero on June 12, 2016 in Aubrey.
Amir was one of those people who never knew a stranger; in his short time on Earth, he touched the hearts of everyone he met with his bright smile and generous spirit. He didn't let cancer take away his warmth, his humor, or his faith, and he will be missed so much by so many.
Amir is survived by his wife Shawnna Romero of Denton; mother, Maria Christina Marquez and her husband Leonardo Rodriguez of Delaware; father, Manuel Rivera and his wife Sara of Little Elm; grandmother, Herminia Marquez of El Salvador; grandmother, Angela Rivera of Little Elm; grandmother, Emilia Bursiaga; grandfather, Alfonso Marquez of El Salvador sister; Paige Allana Marquez of Delaware; brothers, Heynar Marquez of El Salvador, Kevin Rivera of Little Elm, Jeffrey Rivera of Little Elm; Randy Marquez of Delaware, Aaron Marquez of Delaware.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, October 26 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton.
