Amanda Yvonne Martin, 50, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love, laughter, and memories she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. 

Born on July 12, 1976, to Jack and Caroline Martindale at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Amanda was raised in Royse City, Texas, where she graduated from Royse City High School in 1994. She later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Texas, a reflection of the creativity and artistic spirit that remained with her throughout her life. 

On May 6, 2000, Amanda married the love of her life, Alexander "Al" Martin. Together they shared 26 wonderful years of marriage, building a home centered on love, laughter, and family in Denton, Texas. Amanda proudly served Denton County for nine years as a detention officer, earning the rank of Sergeant through her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment. She later served as an office manager for a service company, where she helped build and support the business from the ground up. 

Amanda had a way of filling every room she entered. Her quick wit, unmistakable humor, and infectious laugh made every gathering brighter. She loved making people laugh and never missed the chance to deliver the perfect sarcastic remark or tell a story that left everyone smiling. 

A true artist at heart, Amanda had a passion for photography and was almost always the one behind the camera, preserving birthdays, holidays, vacations, and the everyday moments that became treasured memories. She had an eye for style, embraced her individuality, and expressed herself with creativity in everything she did. She also loved competing in the Stroke & Hope APA League, where she built lasting friendships and shared many unforgettable memories. 

Amanda was proceeded in death by her father, Jack Martindale. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Alexander "Al" Martin, her children, Brook Martin and Alex Martin, and his wife, Ashleigh; her cherished grandchildren, Henry Martin, Blake Wilkes, and Liam Wilkes; her mother, Caroline Martindale; her brother, Gary Martindale, and his wife Jessica; her niece, Jaclyn Kruk; and nephew, Garrett Martindale, along with their families; and a circle of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. 

Amanda leaves behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, strength, and unconditional love. Through she was often behind the camera instead of in front of it, she leaves behind far more than photographs. She leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, love, and memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in every story shared, every smile she inspired, and every moment she so thoughtfully preserved. 

She will be profoundly missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
