Almeta Madewell Lea, 83, of Denton, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born December 18, 1923 in Argyle, TX to Alklen and Myrtle (Meece) Madewell. She was married to Thomas Barton Lea, on October 29, 1949 in Loving, NM She is a retired Cook at Denton Nursing Center, and a Homemaker, and a member of the Baptist Church

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 19, 2007 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Eddie Johnson, officiating. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2007.

Mrs. Lea is survived by three daughters, Inez DeAlejandro, of Sherman, Effie Price, of Denton, and Frances Butterfield, of Euless, and a sister in law, Alleen Madewell, of Amarillo. Eleven Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren.
