Alma Winborn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted cat-owner. She passed away on April 16 at Good Samaritan Denton Village in Denton, TX at the age of 93.

Alma was born on October 10, 1928 in New London, Mo. to Nellie (Rissmiller) Jones and Gus Jones. She graduated from New London high school in 1947 and married John Lewis in 1948. Alma was preceded in death by daughter Susan and is survived by sons David and John, four grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

In 1966, Alma proudly received her real estate license, working as a real estate agent in the Dallas area for nearly 25 years. She was honored as a top seller for Ebby Halliday on multiple occasions.

Alma will be remembered for her love of babies. At family gatherings she could be found in a rocking chair holding one of her many great-grandchildren. She also loved cooking and avidly read Southern Living for recipes to try on her family. Her bourbon pecan pie will be missed and so will her quick sense of humor-both were shared generously. During retirement, if she wasn't baking, Alma was snuggling her kitties and watching the Dallas Cowboys or reading a good novel.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Good Samaritan Denton Village who offered Alma companionship and comfort. A memorial for Alma will be held at 11 am Friday, April 29 in the Chapel at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home 705 N. Locust in Denton.
