Obituary
Allen Bracken Cherry passed away at his home in Aubrey on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the age
of 94. He was preceded in death by his parents, P. A. and Pearl, eight siblings, and two
daughters, Penny and Denise. Allen is survived by his wife Alyne of 58 years, and by a
son Bracken, and four daughters, Saundra, Sally, Ginger, and Gina.
Born September 21, 1921 in Manchester, AR and raised in Bethany, OK. Allen was a World
War II veteran, serving in the 37th Naval Construction Battalion in the Pacific. He was a
photographer and entrepreneur, always trying new things throughout his life.
A Funeral service will be held at Cross Timbers Community Church, Denton Campus, at
11:00 a.m, Wednesday, August 31, 2016; visitation will be at 10:00 am. Burial service will
be in Oklahoma City, Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m at Memorial Park Cemetery.
