Alice Beall Blair, 89, of Justin, TX passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Carriage House in Denton. She was born January 23, 1919 in Fort Worth, to Augustus Fielder and Mollie Dora (Sutton) Beall. She was married to John E. Blair, Jr. on March 24, 1943 who died March 14, 1980. Alice was a graduate of Paschal High School in Fort Worth. She and her parents moved to acreage in Justin, and she worked at the Justin State Bank as a teller and bookkeeper until her marriage. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #1128 in Justin, TX for 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Justin. Alice always looked forward to her visits to Oklahoma to be with her family. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting afghans, doing embroidery work, and various arts and crafts. A piece of her art work will be on display in an art exhibit in Oklahoma City in March 2009.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 18, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton., with Rev. Jason Sidler, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX
Mrs. Blair is survived by a niece Jacqueline Ligon, and husband Lane; great nieces Irene Newsom and husband Paul, and Elane McGowan and husband Bret; three great great Nephews and one great great niece. She is also survived by nephews, Raymond Beall, Ronald Beall, and Alan Price, as well as a host of friends. She was also preceded in death by brothers Augustus F. Beall, Jr. and Charles S. (Jack) Beall, and by sisters Irene Spivey and Sue Price.
