Aleyamma Sharma (born April 11, 1946, in Athiyal, Perumpetty, Kerala, India) passed away on April 4th at 3:28 am surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Mathai Varghese and Sosamma Varghese and grew up in Kalapurakkal house with her siblings Sosamma Alexander, Late Mathew Kalapurackal, Mariamma Pothen, and Vincy Philipose.

Aleyamma pursued her passion for nursing at Hindurao Hospital in Delhi, where she met her husband, Late Dr. Sharma. They had two children, Rishi and Renee, and were blessed to spend time with her granddaughter Priya.

In 1972, Aleyamma migrated to New York, where she worked as a dedicated nurse for 20 years before becoming a devoted stay-at-home mom. Her selflessness, compassion, and love for others defined her life, and she trusted in the Lord, always willing to help those in need.

Aleyamma leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by her husband (late Dr Sharma), children, son-in-law Charlie, granddaughter Priya, siblings and their spouses, nieces, nephews, extended families in US and India and countless friends. Her unwavering devotion to her family and community will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who know her. Rest in peace, dear Aleyamma. We will see you on that glorious day.
