Oveta Aldena Kelly Stowe Gregory, 92, of Lake Dallas Texas went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, at the Legacy House in Lewisville, TX, on Thursday March 18, 2010.

Our beautiful mother was born August 3, 1917 at the Old Autry Home, in Denton County, to Delma Franklin Kelly and Agnes Cordelius "Autry" Kelly. Our mother graduated from Sanger High School in 1933 and from Business College in Kansas City, KS.

She was married to Jesse Lee Stowe on August 3, 1935. Our "Precious Daddy" passed away on January 27, 1980. She was a devout Christian and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Dallas, TX. She was also preceeded in death by her second husband the late Casper Henry Gregory.

She and our father Mr.Stowe, together had several local businesses in Lake Dallas, TX. She was a strong community activist, not only in the city but as an Election Judge for Denton County as a Democrat.

Mrs. Stowe Gregory is survived by her three daughters Natha Cox of Decatur, Donna Jo Harrison of Lake Dallas, Dena Kay Hall of Lake Charles, LA and Lucille Stockard of Woodland Park, CO. Stepdaughter Jowauna Mason. Grandchildren Tina Robinson, Samantha Harrison, Scott Aaron, Amanda Jones, Allison Lyles, ten great-grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Two Brothers, Clifton C. Kelly of White Deer, TX and Archie Ray Kelly of Rockwall, TX. She is preceded in death by Brothers Quinton Kelly of Lake Dallas, TX, F.S. Kelly of Pasadena, TX and C.D. Kelly of Shreveport, LA.

Funeral Services will 2:00 pm Monday March 22, 2010 at the First Baptist Church Lake Dallas 307 S. Denton Dr. Lake Dallas, Texas. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Denton, Texas. Pastor Daniel Patrick will be affricating the service. Visitation will be 3 to 5 pm Sunday March 21, 2010 at Mulkey-Mason Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home Denton.
