Agnes Ruth Prewitt Garland, age 85, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away August 21, 2009, in Frisco, Texas.

She was born December 31, 1923 in Fort Madison, Iowa to William Edward Prewitt and Beatrice Smith Prewitt.  Agnes married S.W. Garland on June 18, 1947 in Fort Madison.

She is survived by her husband, S.W. Garland; son, Earl W. Garland and wife Christine; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Garland.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. Interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
