Adeline Graves, age 97, of Dallas, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Lewisville.
She was born May 5, 1910 in Bullard, Texas to Edgar Shriver Clark and Adeline Foos Clark. Adeline married Ben Nolan Graves on April 14, 1934 in Bullard. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1988. She was a charter member of Southwood United Methodist Church in Dallas. She loved family and friends, playing games, and living life fully. She was a secretary for Nestle for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Carlson and husband, Curtis of Lewisville; son, Dr. Michael C. Graves and wife, June of Pacific Palisades, California; grandchildren, Barry Carlson and wife, Nancy, Kelvin Carlson and wife, Thy, Jennifer Wood and husband, John, John Graves and wife Tyler and Sara Graves and fiancee' Brian; great grandchildren, Heather Carlson and her fiancee', Shane, and Hailey and Hannah Carlson, and Trinity, Ethan, Evan, Owen and John-Ryan Wood. She is also survived by her sister, Francis Key of Bullard. Adeline was preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar Clark and George Clark and by sisters, Lillian Digings and Marguerite Newham.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Southwood United Methodist Church, 3601 Ravina, Dallas. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to an organization of donor's choice.
