Amos Granville (A. G.) Bratcher, 90, of Pilot Point, formerly of Denton, died Monday, September 10, 2007 at Medical Center of Plano. He was born July 1, 1917 in Lake Dallas, TX to Amos Granville, Sr and Lillian Lee (Shelton) Bratcher. He was married to Stepheanna Burrow, on Nov. 5, 1939 in Decatur. He served in the U. S. Army Signal Corps on Okinawa. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2205, Denton. He was an avid camper, visiting 37 states and Canada. He was an Amateur Ham Operator, and Co-founder of Denton C. B. Club and Denton Amateur Club. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton. He was the owner and operator of Bratcher's T.V. Hospital for 40 years.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, Sep[tember 12, 2007 at Roselawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Phillip Ratliff, officiating. The family will at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2007.
Mr. Bratcher is survived by his wife Stepheanna Bratcher, of Pilot Point, daughters, Connie Sue Etter and husband Allen, of Pilot Point, and Bettye Louise Bratcher, of Euless, sister, Enid Borth, of Krum, and four Grandchildren and five Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Mozingo and brother, James Bratcher.
